Maybe they'll be nicer to you.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10969380139188461208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5927095804830018912.post-51829701554744513392009-11-28T12:30:27.293-08:002009-11-28T12:30:27.293-08:00Oh why, oh why, then, isn't my sewing machine ...Oh why, oh why, then, isn't my sewing machine working that way? I swear I've got gremlins. When I'm working on a REAL project, it has been totally misbehaving. But when I try it the next day on scraps to see if I can see what is going on (if only to describe it to my repairman) it works perfectly.

And it seems that things go gaflooey at the worst possible times. One year, I had a friend who persuaded me to cooperate in making sweatshirt jackets for Christmas presents. I made about three -- she made about 20!! She cut. And I sewed. The applique went fine, putting on the front plackets went fine, but when it came to making about a hundred buttonholes, things did not go fine. So -- out with the old manual rattletrap to make all of those buttonholes.

My furnace has gone out at 5:30 p.m. on Fridays; the drain stopped up more than once on Thankgiving Day (not in this house, thank goodness), a water line broke when I was out of town. Gremlins. Has to be.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03065545905446900355noreply@blogger.com
